Answers people look for

Short answers from across the site, each with the page that explains it in full.

Is Payora custodial?

By default yes, and here is exactly how. Payments arrive at addresses Payora derives from its own keys, and are credited to your balance. You withdraw to your own wallet: 1.5% on Free (0.75% Pro, 0.5% Business) plus the network fee of that coin, a $50 minimum, processed within up to 10 business days. Vetted merchants can instead ask for addresses derived from their own xPub — then payments settle straight to wallets Payora never controls.

Do I need an account to try the demo?

No. The live demo mints a throwaway sample invoice and opens the real hosted checkout with no login and no payment required. Create a free account only when you want your own API keys.

Which coins can I accept?

50 payment currencies across 22 networks — BTC, ETH & EVM (BNB, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Avalanche), TON, Tron, Solana, LTC, DOGE, BCH, XRP, XLM and more — plus USDT, USDC, DAI, EURC & PYUSD on every network that carries them.

Is the demo checkout the same as production?

Yes. It is the exact hosted checkout your customers use — coin selection, derived address, QR, wallet deep-link, rate countdown and live status polling. Only the sample invoice is disposable.

How do I get API keys?

Create a free account. Your public api_key and secret api_secret appear in the dashboard, along with the downloadable SDK and full webhook reference. Rotate keys at any time from settings.

How is API authentication handled?

Requests and webhooks are authenticated with HMAC-SHA256 over the timestamp and raw body using your api_secret, with a ±120-second skew window and idempotency keys. Signatures are compared in constant time to prevent timing attacks.

Can the customer return to my site after paying, in the right language?

Yes. Pass return_url when you create the invoice (or ?return_url= on the pay link) and the checkout shows a “Return to store” button back to your site on the success screen — and while paying. Pass lang (en, ru, uk, es, de), or ?lang= on the link, so a customer from your Russian store lands on the Russian checkout instead of English. Both are optional; return_url must be an absolute http(s) URL.

Do I have to pay to accept payments?

No. Accepting is free on every tier, forever. You can run a real business on the Free plan and only pay when money leaves: 1.5% on a payout, a transfer or a withdrawal, plus the network fee on whatever really goes on-chain. Upgrade only if you want a lower move fee (0.75% on Pro, 0.5% on Business) or the paid features.

How are plans billed, and what if I do not renew?

Plans are billed in crypto for a period. If a paid period lapses without renewal, your account gracefully returns to the Free plan — you keep all your funds and can still accept payments and withdraw; only the paid extras (like the payout API) switch off until you renew.

Help centre

How do I start accepting crypto payments?

Create a free account, copy your API keys, and either install a CMS module or call the REST API to create an invoice. Redirect the customer to the hosted checkout, then mark the order paid when you receive the signed webhook. You can rehearse the whole flow first in the Sandbox with no real money.

How do I test without real money?

Use the Sandbox in your dashboard. It creates a test invoice you can carry through the real checkout, then simulate the payment — a genuine signed webhook (flagged test:true) is sent to your endpoint, so you can validate your integration before going live.

What do I need to go live and accept real payments?

An account, an API key and a callback URL — that is all. Payments are received to addresses the platform derives and are credited to your balance, so there is nothing for you to install or generate. If you want payments to land on addresses only you control, ask support about xPub derivation for your account; that is set up per merchant.

Where do I get help?

This help centre and the developer docs cover most questions. For anything else, email support@payora.money, or open a ticket from the Support link in your dashboard.
